Charlene’s Flower 

This flower is versatile. You can use any yarn and any hook size depending on the look you're wanting.  

 

With any size hook chain 5.

Join to make ring. I crochet over the tail and then pull tight to close the hole.

Round 1: Chain 2 12 hdc in ring and join to 1st hdc.

Round 2: *6 dc in 1st,stitch slip in next stitch, Repeat from * and join.

You will have 6 petals.

F Hook

Chain 6

Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook and each chain across. 5sc turn

Row 2: chain 3 (counts as DC) skip next sc, v-stitch (dc ch 2 dc) in next sc, skip next dc, dc in last sc. turn

Row 3: chain 3, v-stitch in next v-stitch, dc in last chain 3.

Repeat row 3 to desired length and whipstitch together. Add a flower for flair!

Note: (chain 2 is not a stitch and you will skip the chain 2 when joining)

Rd. 1 ch 2, 12 dc in ring. Join, ch. 2.

Rd. ch. 2, dc in same st. as ch. 2, 2 dc in each dc around, join. ch 2. 24 dc

Rd. 3 ch 2, dc in same st as ch. 2, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * 36 dc

Rd. 4 ch 2 dc in same stitch as ch. 2, dc in each dc around, join. 36 dc

Rd 5-9 Repeat row 4.

Rd 10 ch. 1, hdc in same st as ch. 1, hdc in each dc around, join. 36 hdc.

Rd. 11 ch. 1, sc in same st. as ch 1, *ch. 2, sc in next hdc, repeat from * 36 sc

 Weave ribbon thru row 9 if desired.

V-stitch Beanie

Size 18-24-2t

F Hook No Bigger than an 18-inch head

Size: 3-5 No bigger than a 20-inch head.

Hook: G

Yarn: Pound of Love in light pink or any color desired.

Gauge: 2 V-stitches is 1.5 inches (take time to check gauge)

 

Rd. 1 Ch. 5 and join to make ring, ch. 2 (not a dc) 12 dc in ring, join to 1st dc. (12 dc)

 

Rd. 2 Ch. 4, dc in same st as ch. 4 (v-stitch made), v-stitch (dc ch 1 dc) in each dc around, join to ch. 3 of ch. 4 (12 v-stitches)

 

Rd. 3 Slst in 1st ch. 1 space, ch. 4, dc in ch. 1 space, v-stitch in space between v-stitch from previous row, v-stitch in next ch. 1 space, v-stitch in next space between next v-stitch, Repeat * around, join to ch. 3 of ch, 4. (24 v-stitches.

 

Rd 4-10 V-stitch in each ch. 1 space around (24 v-stitches)

 

Rd. 11 HDC V-stitch in ch. 1 space around, join to chain 3 of ch. 4(24 hdc v-stitches)

 

Rd 12 ch. 1, sc in same st as ch. 1, *skip ch. 1 space, sc in next hdc, repeat * around (48 sc)

 

Rd. 13 ch 1, sc in same st as ch. 1, sc in each sc around, join to 1st sc, join, fasten off and weave in ends. (48 sc)
